It was freezing cold and we had to leave the house at 4:oo in the morning to make it! Crazy!! However, it was worth it. I had never run past 4 1/2 miles but Joanne did it all the time, so I knew she could help me. We finished in 1 hour, 12 minutes, 10 seconds. In our age group we place 7th. Not too bad for 2 old wore out Moms. The race was held around Tyler's Bergfeld park and the flowers were gorgeous! It seemed to help get your mind off the run and focus on the yards. I wonder if I could get my neighbors to dress up their yards for me when I run here at home. That would sure make my exercise time easier. I should talk to them about that.

Joanne and I are looking at other 10k's in the area.....before it gets too hot. It you hear of one let me know!

Laura Z., Kelsie, Brittany, Andi and Katharyn with her mouth open as usual!

Well We survived another birthday party. I'm always a little nervous about them. I want Katharyn to be happy and the girls to enjoy themselves. Mike helps out so much and we really enjoy the girls.

So this year was different since we stayed at "The Land" and the girls could get out and have some outdoor fun even though it was really cold.

Watching the girls grow up has been fun. We started having the parties when they were in the 3rd grade, or 9 or 10. Now they are 14 or 15 and really turning beautiful and developing such great personalities!

So we are tired but happy and look forward to more great parties in the future.

Have a great week

Love ya'll,

Charlene

Chirste, you are the most wonderful mother and niece ever!!!Thanks for joining up and sharing your lovely girls. Already have them teaching I see.

K and I are having a slow morning. Love those relaxing Saturdays, when you can take your time doing whatever without a schedule. K doesn't like it much, however!

Got my run in before the cold front really blew in. Got lucky there. Now I feel like I have accomplished so much already. Haven't done a thing since!

Next week we have K's birthday slumber party at "the land." Planning a personal pan pizza party with smores and games, and just letting those friends of hers enjoy themselves! Mike and I feel like we have grown up with them and they are a great group. All they do for K in school and church always inspires me.

Making some major progress on selling this house and building something else. Please pray for this effort for us! It really would mean so much to us to build something so perfect for K in the future. Also check out stem cell treatments on spinal cord injury victims. They are beginning human trials this summer on paraplegics! The more prayer better for this subject. God is waiting for your prayer on this!

Have a groovy week and smile more!

God Bless,
Charlene
